- Sets and approves all league dates
- Approves all schedules, local/inter-league
- Report park progress/financial information to board
- Communicate affiliation information (Dizzy Dean)
- Lead communicator to park membership
- Oversees all league/park operations
- Check writing capabilities with Treasurer
- Lead Communicator with County officials
- Oversees all baseball operations
- Approves head coaches for all age groups
- Approve and facilitate draft procedures
- Oversee rules compliance within league
- Set, uphold and abide all league rules and procedures
- Umpire liaison
- Attends or appoints representative to all Dizzy Dean meetings
Secretary - 1 year term
- Oversees all aspects of registration
- Prepares registration data for evaluations and uniform director
- Staff physical registrations
- Compile online registrations
- Order league trophies
- Record minutes at each board meeting
- Sends minutes of all meetings out of board via email for final review of accuracy
- Keeps dated records of board meetings in file at park
Treasurer – 1 year term
- Manages all finances
- Provide financial statements at each board meeting
- Report all financial progress to Board
- Check writing capabilities with Executive Director(s)
- File all appropriate documents with IRS and appropriate authorities
- Insurance agent contact
Director of Baseball - 1 year term
- Oversees all baseball activities
- Responsible for creating Baseball Board to monitor league rules
- Responsible for maintaining a competitive environment while preserving our mission statement
Director of Concessions - 1 year term
- Responsible for purchasing and tracking inventory
- Responsible for staffing concession stand
- Responsible for all money getting to the bank or to the treasurer each night
- Responsible for cleanliness and pest control of concession stand
- Works in conjunction with Common Area Grounds Director on internal repair issues
Director of Freehome Facility- 1 year term
Director of Macedonia Facility -1 year term
- Maintain supplies for field preparation
- Communicate field conditions to baseball director
- Manage volunteers for field preparation
- Responsible for reporting areas needing repair including scoreboards, lighting, dugouts, bleachers, batting cages, and bullpens
- Responsible for shed equipment inventory, upkeep, repair, or replacement (approval for repair/purchase requires prior approval of Executive Directors
- Responsible for yearly service of tractor
- Responsible for yearly seminar for coaches on field and game preparation
Director of Uniforms - 1 year term
- Manage spirit wear inventory/orders
- Secure uniform vendor
- Place uniform order
- Coordinate with team moms and distribute uniforms
- Handle all uniform inquiries and problems
Director of Equipment - 1 year term
- Maintain equipment for game play (baseballs, catchers gear)
- Manage check out/in procedure of catcher’s equipment to coaches
- Report league owned equipment inventory to Executive Directors
- Procure league-wide discounts from local sporting goods retailers
- Suggest best/cheapest sources for coaches on equipment for players
Director of Scheduling - 1 year term
- Create all game schedules
- Responsible for all rain outs
- Communicate schedules and rain outs with umpires
- Publish schedules on website
Director of Fundraising - 1 year term
- Responsible for picture day (Fall and Spring)
- Responsible for all fundraising efforts
- Responsible for Creekview Night
Director of Sponsorships - 1 year term
- Contact and secure sponsors
- Responsible for contractual sponsorship terms
- Responsible for banners
- Work with Director of Marketing/Communications to place sponsor ads on website/Facebook & send emails
Director of All Stars & Travel Ball - 1 year term
- Communicate all star try out process to league
- Communicate all information (district, state, world series)
- Manage team information (uniforms, practice)
Director of Marketing/Communications - 1 year term
- Provide all league wide emails about registration, events, etc.
- Get approval and supply flyers to area schools
- Manage the marquee
- Coordinate marketing signs and information to league
- Work with Director of Uniforms/Equipment on spirit items
- Assist vendors and sponsors with signage and promotion
Director of Team Moms - 1 year term
- Communicate league functions to team moms
- Coordinate team mom meetings
- Coordinate league paperwork
- Collect and coordinate monies for fundraising and special league events
- Teach or provide resources for keeping a box score
Director of Coaches - 1 year term
- Communicate league information to league commissioners
- Coordinate coach training/certification
- Provide leadership to young and/or inexperienced coaches
- Observe one practice of each team per season
- Evaluate coach’s performance
Age Group Commissioners – 1 year term
- Oversee specific age groups
- Suggest head coaches to Director of Coaches
- Coordinate draft and evaluation information
- Manage complaints within appointed age groups
- Communicate safety/training issues VP
- Manage communication of rain out and practice schedules
- Enforce rules compliance
